Hey, cool, wow, I forgot I have a blog. I can use this to update you guys on what's going on, kind of what a blog was originally intended to be used for, and not just gaming search engine results. So that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna give you guys some updates.
Okay, here we go. First update.
Got a couple machines. I got this Primera AP550 labeling machine. I got a really good deal on eBay. Took a risk. He said it was untested. Bought it, got a power cable for it, and it works fine.
Problem is, the amount of labels and time it takes me to get the thing calibrated, that batch is already done being labeled. Because every time, you know, it spits out a label, it might not be right, but I fix it, and then I just didn't get it on the bottle straight.
But again, we're small batch around here. We're currently only doing batches between a dozen to a few dozen, or up to, you know, only a few dozen bottles at a time of a given size.
Still looking into trying to find faster ways of filling these smaller bottles and the sample sizes, because we're still doing everything manually, by hand pouring. Takes a lot of time. Labeling takes a lot of time to get them on straight. It's not that easy. Takes a while to get good.
Personally, I've labeled thousands by hand, and with the square bottles, I can do about two labels per minute, maybe three. And that's including the times I have to remove and adjust it.
But still trying, you know, working on getting these orders out faster. We got one person helping out, and then another person helping out a couple days a week. And so far, we're up to 4.5 people. The main, still just Andy and I, me being Jeff.
And that's it. I really appreciate your support, patience, and grace.
Thank you so much. God bless.
